BIO

She has over a decade of applied and leadership experience as a materials and corrosion engineer, primarily in the oil and gas industry. Her responsibilities have included materials durability, damage mechanisms assessment, corrosion evaluation, and materials performance. She has been driven by the desire to make a positive impact, which she believes is achieved by harnessing the strengths of people and teams. In 2019, she returned to academia to pursue a higher degree by research (PhD) at Monash university, aiming to advance her knowledge and experience in materials science. Her research bridged engineering and computing, focusing on machine learning for alloy design. This project enabled her to develop advanced skills in machine learning and artificial intelligence, data science, coding, software development and data visualisation. The work has led to the creation of the world’s first fully digital design tool for metallic alloys. Currently, she is pursuing machine learning projects for materials design at Deakin University as an associate research fellow. She is committed to leveraging her extensive experience in engineering and computer science to advance digital alloy design. Her passion lies in working within multi-disciplinary and dynamic environments, utilising her high-level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive innovations.
