BIO
Once a secondary teacher, my interest in analytical chemistry and the environment drew me towards research.
My research interests are focused on emerging contaminants in the environment. I am particularly interested in community science and its role in addressing the challenges of agrichemical pollution. As part of my research, I coordinate Pesticide Watch, a national community science program that engages citizens in pesticide monitoring of their local freshwater streams.
I use mass spectrometry to support my research, including LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and GC-HRMS.
