BIO

Tarryn is a nursing academic specialising in perioperative nursing and education. Tarryn has qualifications in nursing, health promotion, perioperative nursing, clinical and tertiary education. Tarryn’s research interests include the nexus between education and specialist nursing practice with a focus on technology in learning. Tarryn has published research in interprofessional simulation-based education with recent research projects exploring virtual reality to improve specialist nursing skills and mobile digital technology to improve novice perioperative nurse learning in the clinical environment. Tarryn is a Fellow and Board member of the Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
