BIO

Anne commenced her public health nutrition PhD in 2024 which focuses on understanding and addressing challenges to long-term, equitable healthy food retail using a Systems Thinking approach. She is an Associate Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) and majored in Nutrition and Exercise Science.

Her early career was spent working internationally as a project manager during which time she travelled extensively (to 65+ countries) and lived in Japan, Malaysia, Kenya, Iran, and Turkey. With a penchant for science, she returned to Australia to pursue a science degree while working for local mental health and legal aid organisations, including conducting a mental health mapping project throughout remote Central Australia for the Department of Health.

Academically, Anne’s interested in System Dynamics, the psychology of public health communication, micronutrient and gut health optimisation with whole foods, and nutrigenetics. She loves creative cooking, coffee, philosophy, and rock climbing, and hopes to use her PhD to ensure the world has equitable access to healthy, delicious food.
