BIO

Gaelle Bihan is a PhD candidate at Deakin University. She is part of Colin Barrow's group and her main focus is on marine biomass valorisation, i.e. extracting valuable compounds from seaweed species using green extraction technologies such as supercritical CO2.

Gaelle completed a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Bioprocess with a major in Organic Chemistry from the National Graduate School of Chemistry of Montpellier (ENSCM), second best French Chemical Engineering School in 2023.
