BIO
I am a Lecturer in the School of Health and Social Development at Deakin University. I teach into undergraduate and postgraduate health promotion units, and am the Course Director for postgraduate Health Promotion.
I am an associate member of the Institute for Health Transformation (IHT) within the Determinants of Health (DoH) domain.
I am a PhD candidate at Curtin University, where I am exploring Healthy Public Policy (HPP) in local government and the role of non-health actors in these processes.
Before my academic position at Deakin, I worked in the field of health promotion, predominantly in local government, for over a decade.
I aim to combine my practical experience and academic pursuits to drive positive change and inspire the next generation of health promotion professionals while also promoting healthier environments, communities and populations.
