MrAaron Beecroft

Aaron is a current PhD candidate at Deakin University in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. Aaron's research primarily investigates the impact of physical activity and sedentary behaviour interventions within primary health care settings. Aaron is also an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with experience in chronic disease management, oncology rehabilitation, balance and fall prevention, and behaviour change counselling. Aaron's interests include the implementation of physical activity and sedentary behaviour interventions to improve the primary and tertiary prevention of chronic disease.

As an Exercise Physiologist Aaron has worked across multiple sectors including private practice and public hospital settings involving multi-disciplinary practice. Aaron has worked alongside other health and medical professionals including general practitioners, practice nurses, physiotherapists, osteopaths, and dietitians in establishing referral networks and multi-disciplinary treatment plans. Aaron brings his clinical experiences to aid in his current research projects and to help inform greater research translation and implementation within long-term clinical practice.
