BIO

Pretha is a PhD candidate at Deakin University, working on Uncertainty Quantification for Autonomous Systems under the supervision of Prof Abbas Khosravi. She holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering and has interned as a machine learning research engineer at IIT Bombay, where she gathered experience in research and development of computer vision-based algorithms for surveillance and security. Pretha's research endeavors are mostly industrial application driven, with a focus on bridging the gap between academic research and real-world applications. She is presently a scholarship holder of the SmartSat Corporate Research Center, working on the project SCARLET-α: SpaceCraft Autonomy and Onboard AI for Next Generation Space Systems, to contribute to its onboard processing and actionable intelligence capabilities.
