In general, I'm interested in the social aspects of how universities work. 

My pedagogy tends to draw upon the constructivist theory of knowing of Jean Piaget, and the constructionism theory of learning as instantiated in the Logo programming language of Seymour Papert. That is, I like to teach people by having them do things, and learn through doing. That isn't always possible, but I try to do it when I can.
