TEACHING EXPERTISE
As a Lecturer at Punjab University, my teaching approach is grounded in facilitating holistic development and critical understanding among students. With a focus on English communication skills, I aim to equip students with the tools and confidence to express themselves effectively in both academic and professional settings. In courses such as Introduction to Gender Studies, I provide a comprehensive overview of key concepts, theories, and historical contexts, encouraging students to analyse and deconstruct prevailing notions of gender. Through the exploration of feminist theories and movements, students engage in thought-provoking discussions and examine the intersectionality of gender with race, class, and other social identities. Additionally, in Gender and Psychology, I delve into the psychological dimensions of gender, exploring topics such as identity formation, stereotypes, and the impact of socialization on individual behaviour. By integrating interdisciplinary perspectives and fostering critical inquiry, my teaching endeavours to inspire students to become active participants in promoting gender equality and social justice.
