MrChris Healey

Chris Healey is a registered nurse with 33 years' experience in mental health,
including 10 years as a clinical nurse consultant and 9 years as the manager
of South West Healthcare's Mental Health Inpatient Services. Chris commenced
his employment with the DRH (formerly GGT UDRH) in August 2013.

Current deliverables are in mental health education and training. Simulation
based education on mental health has been provided to the fourth year Deakin
medical cohort in Warrnambool for the past ten years and also the PRCC
medical cohort in Mount Gambier. Community engagement activities include the
provision of ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills) training and supporting rural health
services with education in a range of subjects. Inclusive of mental health disorders and
treatment, recognition and de-escalation of aggression and co-ordinating a code grey.
