TEACHING EXPERTISE
Dr. Mengyao Fu teaches business analytics at Deakin University, specialising in data-driven decision-making and the application of analytics to contemporary business problems.
Teaching Units: MIS771 – Descriptive Analytics and Visualisation and MIS784 – Marketing Analytics
Her teaching philosophy emphasises the integration of analytical theory with authentic business practice. Through research-informed and industry-relevant learning activities, she develops students' capabilities in statistical reasoning, data visualisation, predictive analytics, and evidence-based decision-making. Across both foundational and advanced analytics units, she encourages students to critically evaluate analytical methods, communicate data-driven insights effectively, and apply analytics to solve complex business problems. Her goal is to equip graduates with the analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills required to thrive in data-intensive organisational environments.
