BIO

Elahe Zare is a graduate researcher in ageing and aged care, supported by Deakin University. She studied health information sciences in her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. Following her graduation, she joined an organisation serving older adults as a researcher, where she contributed to ageing research and the design of educational and recreational activities aimed at improving health and well-being. She then joined the Alzahra Hospital Library as a medical librarian for approximately two years. 

 

Adopting a multi-phase qualitative approach, her doctoral research focuses on understanding dementia literacy among older adults with mild cognitive impairment to improve their knowledge of dementia, enhance their health-related decision making and eventually, promote their quality of life.
