BIO
Having a strong career background of language teaching, I have a keen interest in exploring the multilayered dimensions of identity, diaspora and language. Language has a great potential to frame and reframe peoples' projections and perceptions.
Languages like English play a vital role in the process of multiculturalism to highlight and address the challenges in Globalization.
I have served as a lecturer in English at a prestigious regional college for ten years. Besides it, I have worked as visiting lecturer in English and translational studies in a regional university in Pakistan for four years. Also, I had a chance to work in administrative role in educational settings.
My previous research interests reside in both linguistics and literature.
Deakin has given me a great platform to pursue my graduate research in School of Social Science at Burwood Campus. I am currently working under the supervision of Dr Zouhir Gabsi and Dr Alistair Welsh.
