MrWaqas Habib

I'm Waqas Habib, a PhD candidate at Deakin University. My research investigates the role of emotional intelligence in enhancing the effectiveness of climate change education, aiming to understand how emotional intelligence influences individuals' engagement with climate change issues and their willingness to adopt sustainable practices. With a passion for education and a commitment to addressing the climate crisis, I'm driven to explore innovative approaches to education that foster emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and sustainable behaviors. Prior to starting my PhD, I completed my MPhil degree in Education, which deepened my understanding of the complex relationships between teaching, learning, and social impact. I'm excited to be part of the Deakin University community, collaborating with esteemed academics and like-minded individuals who share my passion for creating a more sustainable future. My long-term goal is to become a leading researcher and contributor to policy development, helping to shape education systems that prioritize emotional intelligence, sustainability, and the well-being of our planet.
