BIO
Mr. Tahir Idrees has been a lecturer (journalism) at the Higher Education Department (Pakistan) for almost seven years and also worked as a visiting faculty at the Department of Communication and Media Studies, University of Sargodha. He served as a member of the Board of Studies in the Department of Communication and Media Studies at Sargodha University, Pakistan, for three years, and he has recently been elected as a member of the Faculty Board (Arts and Education) at Deakin University, Australia.
He completed his M.Phil in mass communication with distinction and is currently doing his PhD at the School of Communication (Deakin University, Australia). His research focus is climate journalism and media practices in the Global South. He writes articles for an English daily and has hosted a community radio show for almost two years.
He has six newspapers and four research publications in various journals. He has presented at various national and international conferences, including the International Conference of Social Sciences (Türkiye), Graduate-led Conference (Australia), the Conference on Communication and Environment (COCE) (Australia), and the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) Conference (Singapore).
