BIO

Emmanuel is a Public health expert and an epidemiologist who has over 8 years experience. He holds MPhil in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. As a passionate Public health practitioner, Emmanuel has worked at all levels right from the community, through the districts and regional to the national level. 
Before joining Deakin University as a PhD student, Emmanuel was the head of Public Health Unit and quality improvement manager. His responsibilities include providing effective leadership and technical advice on public health matters and conducting operational research for the hospital. He was also actively engaged in surveillance on both infectious and chronic diseases, promotion of healthy lifestyle, vaccine estimation and immunization, occupational health and safety, proper waste management, TB screening and treatment, management of malnutrition, risk communication and outbreak investigation and management. He has also supported in cholera, measles, and covid-19 outbreaks investigation and management. Emmanuel aims to equip himself with the expertise needed to become a renowned epidemiologist, conducting impactful studies and translating research findings into practical policies. His ultimate goal is to contribute significantly to public health practice and address health inequalities among marginalized populations.
