BIO

Rita has worked as an occupational therapist across a range of clinical settings, including acute care, sub-acute care, rehabilitation, and community-based services, with a primary focus on paediatric populations. She has held positions at the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service at Monash Children’s Hospital, Barwon Health, and within the acute neuroscience team at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Rita has a particular interest in supporting children with neurological conditions and is passionate about delivering evidence-informed, family-centred care.

 

Rita has also enjoyed supervising occupational therapy students across different year levels, which sparked her passion for education and student learning. She has commenced her role as a Clinical Educator at Deakin University, marking an exciting new stage in her professional career. Rita is committed to ongoing professional development and to contributing meaningfully to the education and training of future occupational therapists.
