BIO
Edwina El Hachem is the Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Coordinator and Lecturer (Curriculum and Pedagogy) in the School of Education. Edwina is a former secondary school teacher with extensive experience in curriculum design and delivery across schools and initial teacher education. She has a particular focus on Initial Teacher Education (ITE) and teacher education quality, as well as the integration of neuroscience, cognitive science and pedagogical research to strengthen teaching and learning in classrooms. Her current research focuses on teacher quality and readiness to teach, particularly how ITE defines, develops, measures and assures readiness for classroom practice.
