RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Noisy, irregular, and heterogeneous IoT time series sensor data analytics
  • Continual and distributed learning over streaming or real-time sensing data
  • Computer vision and medical image analysis
  • NLP text classification, clustering, and topic modelling
  • Dense subgraph mining and graph learning

I am currently a Chief Investigator on an Australian Research Council Discovery Project and a large project funded by New South Wales Premier's Department. I also led a Defence Next Generation Technologies Fund Project about Human-AI interaction and interactive machine learning and developed a US Patent with Canon Inc. for a graph-based object matching method in Computer Vision.

I have authored over 60 high-quality publications, many of which have appeared in top-tier conferences and journals ranked by CORE/Scimago/Scopus. I serve in research leadership and professional roles at prominent local and international data science and AI conferences. Recently, I have served as Program Chair for AusDM and ACSW, Area Chair and PC Member for KDD, and PC Member for NeurIPS/ICML, CVPR/ICCV/ECCV, AAAI/IJCAI, WWW, etc.
