BIO

Paul Amores is an Associate Research Fellow in the Department of Economics at Deakin University. He is completing a PhD in Economics at the Australian National University, and has a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Sydney. His PhD focuses on the relationship between mental health and economic participation. Prior to this, he was working as an economist with the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. His research interests include policy impact evaluation, social determinants of health, and health inequalities. He has expertise in health econometrics, applied microeconomics, quasi-experimental design, panel data methods, and the analysis of large administrative databases.
