DrYuchen Zhang

Dr. Yuchen Zhang joined the Department of Accounting as a Lecturer at the Deakin Business School in January 2025. Before joining Deakin, Yuchen completed his PhD in Financial Accounting and was an Associate Lecturer in the School of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation at UNSW Sydney. His doctoral research, focusing on the dynamics of corporate disclosures, examined the economic consequences of mandatory quarterly reporting and the strategic voluntary disclosure practices of loss-reporting firms. Yuchen's research interests include Financial Reporting and Disclosure, International Accounting and Policy Evaluation. He has presented his working papers at international conferences such as AAA, AFAANZ, EAA annual congress, and JIAR conference. Yuchen also has diverse teaching experience across various areas, including financial accounting, financial analysis, accounting theory, and data analytics.
