RESEARCH INTERESTS

Steph has a wide research interest that centres on public health impact and real-time decision-making in public health emergencies and responses, and have specific skills in operational and implementation research, and epidemiological and quantitative methods.   

 

Her research profile covers several key areas, including

  • Applied Epidemiology: Studying the distribution and determinants of diseases in specific populations to guide public health action and disease prevention and control strategies
  • Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Epidemic Response: Investigating and managing outbreaks of infectious diseases to provide rapid analysis to inform prevention and control efforts.
  • Public Health Service Delivery: Investigating how public health interventions are applied in real-world settings to improve service delivery and public health outcomes.
  • Determinant of Health Research and Health Promotion: Exploring determinants of health, behaviours and risks and designing effective health promotion and communication tools with affected communities
