BIO
Dr Amanda Machell is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences at Deakin University. She co-leads the First 2000 Days research group in the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN). Her research focuses on children's movement behaviours, health and development across home and school environments, with a current emphasis on how different aspects of screen use influence health and development in early childhood. She has co-supervised 4 Honours students and 1 PhD student to completion.
