BIO

Dr. Khanh Binh Nguyen is an Associate Research Fellow at Deakin University, specializing in artificial intelligence and computer vision. His research delves into advanced deep learning techniques, including few-shot learning, multimodal AI, and semantic vision. At Deakin, he drives innovative projects developing AI-based algorithms for ecological monitoring, notably creating frameworks to detect and recognize animal species using camera trap data, with significant applications in conservation and environmental science.

 

With a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, Dr. Nguyen combines a robust academic foundation with extensive industry experience. He has published extensively in leading venues such as ICCV, CVPR, and WACV, and has earned recognition through awards in international AI challenges, including runner-up positions at CVPR 2024 and ICCV 2023. An active contributor to the research community, he serves as a reviewer for prestigious conferences and journals, enhancing the field of AI and computer vision.
