TEACHING EXPERTISE

Sana has taught a broad range of social science subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including research methodology, gender studies, governance and policymaking, society and culture, Pakistan studies, and language and literature. At the National University of Modern Languages and the University of Swat, she designed and delivered courses, supervised student research projects and contributed to curriculum development.

At Deakin University, she worked as a Graduate Research Teaching Fellow in Trimester 1, facilitating seminars for Introduction to Sociology (ASC101). In Trimester 2, she is working as a Sessional Academic, assessing student work in Introduction to Sociology: The Sociology of Everyday Life (ASC102) and Culture and Control: Boundaries and Identities (ASC304). Her responsibilities include evaluating assessments and providing constructive feedback to support students’ academic development.

Sana’s teaching practice is grounded in inclusive, student-centred learning. Her experience working with students in patriarchal and conflict-affected settings has shaped her commitment to supporting women, marginalised students and students from diverse educational backgrounds. She incorporates digital pedagogy, research skills and employability-focused learning to strengthen students’ critical thinking, academic confidence and career readiness.
