BIO

Dr Alishba Tanya John is an Executive Dean of Health Research Fellow in the School of Medicine. She completed her PhD at the Australian National University in July 2025. Her background is in nanotechnology, materials engineering, and electrochemistry. Her research focuses on developing biosensors for wearable and point-of-care health applications. Alishba is particularly interested in advancing biosensing technologies beyond proof-of-concept studies into practical use. Through her research, she aims to support the development of accessible diagnostic tools and encourage collaborations across healthcare, engineering. and industry.
