BIO

Suzie Noye is currently a PhD Candidate in Deakin University’s School of Nursing and affiliated with the Centre for Quality and Patient Safety Research in the Institute for Health Transformation and Epworth HealthCare. She is a Registered Nurse with 23 years’ professional of experience in areas including acute ward nursing, clinical nurse education, and both undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education.  Her research focuses on the deteriorating patient phenomenon, particularly clinical escalation and education 

Suzie is the lead author on the refereed paper titled, "Nurses’ perspectives on delays in care escalation in an acute private hospital", and has presented other original research at national and international forums including the Australian College of Nursing National Nursing Forum, the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS) Safety and Quality Conference, Epworth Research Month, and the Royal Children’s Hospital Education Hub. She has received several awards, including the Schepper Family Innovation Grant (2022), the Paton Family Award for Excellence in Quality Improvement or Research Practice at Epworth HealthCare (2024) and the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship (2025). 

She is driven by a commitment to nursing education, patient safety, and health system improvement, and values authenticity, transparency, and improving patient outcomes.
