BIO
Dr Alireza Ganjovi is an Electrical & Energy Systems Engineer with over 15 years of R&D, teaching, and industry experience spanning high-voltage engineering, plasma technologies, energy systems, and environmental applications. He is currently a Research Fellow in the Smart Battery Diagnostics and Energy Systems group at Deakin University, focusing on high-voltage diagnostics, sensor integration, and physics-informed modelling for advanced energy infrastructures. His work explores the role of high-voltage excitation in plasma generation and its applications in hydrogen production, waste-to-energy conversion, UV-C disinfection, and water treatment. With over 48 peer-reviewed publications and extensive experience leading EU-funded and industrial projects, Dr Ganjovi is recognised for translating high-voltage and plasma science into practical innovations that advance sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental resilience.
