MsZubaira Naz

Zubaira Naz is a PhD Researcher in Artificial Intelligence at Deakin University, Australia. Her research focuses on Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning (MARL), and intelligent energy management systems.

Her current research investigates explainable and decentralised AI approaches for energy coordination and trading in smart microgrids. She is particularly interested in developing transparent and trustworthy multi-agent decision-making systems that can support efficient, resilient, and sustainable energy management.

Zubaira has over seven years of experience in research and development across Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Explainable AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and emerging technologies. Her previous research experience also includes Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, and Human–Computer Interaction, with applications in education and healthcare.

Her broader research interests include Explainable AI, Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Decentralised AI, Trustworthy AI, Smart Microgrids, Energy Trading, and Intelligent Energy Management.
