DrRam Krishn Mishra

Dr. Ram Krishn Mishra is a Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in the School of Information Technology at Deakin University, GIFT City Campus, with over 14 years of academic and research experience. Prior to joining Deakin University, he served at De Montfort University and spent more than a decade at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus, where he was involved exclusively in teaching and research.

During his tenure at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus, Dr. Mishra strongly emphasised experiential-based teaching methodologies, integrating hands-on laboratory work, mini-projects, real-world case studies, and problem-based learning into core computer science courses. This approach helped students effectively connect theoretical concepts with practical implementation while fostering critical thinking, technical competence, and research-orientated skills.

Dr. Mishra holds a Master of Engineering (ME) and a PhD in Computer Science from BITS Pilani and has taught a wide range of subjects, including data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithms, programming, databases, and emerging areas of computing. His research interests include sentiment analysis, text analytics, recommender systems, and applied artificial intelligence, with a strong focus on developing data-driven and AI-enabled solutions to real-world problems.

He is deeply committed to research-led, experiment-driven teaching and continuous pedagogical innovation, aiming to prepare students for advanced study, research, and professional practice in computing and artificial intelligence.
