BIO
Dr. Shang Gao received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Northeastern University, China, in 2000. Prior to joining the School of Information Technology at Deakin University in 2004, she held positions as an Associate Lecturer at Central Queensland University and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney. Her research interests span distributed systems, cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, machine learning, and multimedia computation. Dr. Gao has also served as the School’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Officer since 2004.
