BIO

I have been working in the education sector for 20 years. I have been teaching at tertiary education and developing programs for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Early Years Education (EYE) and conducting educational research. I have been involved in collaborative projects in adapting, developing and validating assessments and supporting the needs of diverse learners. These studies were involving industry partners, key stakeholders and the government, I have also worked on several inter-faculty research projects that explored interventions to enhance student learning and improve the campus experience.

My research interests include exploring inclusive practice in education and strategies for teachers’ capacity development. My doctoral work focused on exploring learning process in the context of early childhood education from a new materialist perspective that not only focuses on children but also learning environment and other non-human aspects in learning. I led a project exploring teachers’ perspectives on inclusive and play-based pedagogies in Indonesia.
