DrJack Yang

Jack (Jiaqi) Yang joins Deakin Business School as a Lecturer in Information Systems and Business Analytics. He completed his PhD in Information Systems at Macquarie University, where his thesis was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Commendation for Research Excellence. His work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Strategic Information Systems and International Journal of Information Management, and has been presented at major international conferences such as ICIS, ECIS, HICSS and PACIS. Prior to joining Deakin, he held a postdoctoral research position at UNSW’s PRAxIS Lab, where he worked on multiple industry-engaged projects investigating GenAI implementation, digital resilience, and inclusive design. Jack’s research focuses on the socio-technical implementation of emerging technologies, particularly generative AI, and how these technologies reshape organisational knowledge work, decision-making, and professional practice.
