My primary research interest is forensic search and recovery.  My PhD project is focused on how homicide perpetrators in Australia relocate and conceal their victims.  It is a fascinating topic because there are so many fields it draws from (e.g., forensic archaeology, criminology, psychology, geography, environmental sciences, etc).  

My masters research was on the site formation and modification processes of World War II era aircraft crash sites in aquatic environments and how this can influence search and recovery efforts seeking the remains of the crew and passengers.  I continue to remain interested in searching for missing military personnel.  Additionally, I have a fascination with maritime archaeology. 

I am also interested in forensic taphonomy, trauma biomechanics, and aircraft crash survivability.
