BIO

Nikki Phillips is a Professor of Nursing and the Dean of Nursing and Midwifery at Deakin University. Nikki joined the School of Nursing and Midwifery in May 2009. Prior to this Nikki had over 15 years experience in facilitating the learning of both undergraduate and post-graduate nursing and midwifery students in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Bhutan. Nikki has significant experience in problem-based student learning methods and inquiry-based learning. Nikki is committed to quality nursing and midwifery courses that incorporate evidence-based practice, person-centred care, quality and risk management and improving patient outcomes.
