BIO

Bardo Fraunholz is an Associate Professor and the Director of Postgraduate Programs in the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics in Deakin Business School. Bardo received his BA and MA in Accounting from the University of Trier in Germany, and also holds a postgraduate diploma in Law and a postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice from Westminster University in the UK. He completed his PhD in Information Systems from Deakin University. Bardo is in charge of the Project Management discipline in the Deakin Business School and he teaches Project Management as well as the Information Systems practice (capstone) unit. He is a passionate proponent of internationalisation and a founding member of IS:Link, a network to promote and facilitate student mobility for IS students.

Bardo has published widely in national and international forums and is researching in the areas of project and process management, enterprise architecture and teaching technologies. He is also a member of a number of editorial boards and program committees. Before returning to academic life full-time, Bardo spent several years in the Information Communication Technologies sector as co-editor and board member of a publisher specializing in IT and Telecommunication Magazines. He has a strong interest in the alignment of research with practice and engages external partners in both his research and teaching. During Bardo's academic career, he has worked at universities in Germany, the UK and Australia and held a number of faculty positions such as course Director for IS and Business Analytics, Associate Head Teaching and Learning and more recently as university director for Career Education.
