DrSharon Horwood

Dr Sharon Horwood is an internationally recognised researcher examining digital technology use and wellbeing across the lifespan. She has secured major competitive national and international grant funding, contributed to high-impact publications (including Psychological Bulletin and JAMA Pediatrics), and established strong national and international research collaborations.

 

Her leadership roles include Lead Researcher of the Digital Ecologies Group within the Deakin Lifespan Institute, Associate Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child, membership of a WHO advisory group on childhood sedentary behaviour, and Vice President of the Australasian Congress for Personality and Individual Differences. An OLT award‑winning educator and Unit Chair of Personality Psychology, she is a leading researcher at Deakin University’s Warrnambool campus.
