RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am a theatre and performance-maker and my research juxtaposes digital and analogue technology, storytelling and the live body. My work disrupts verbatim theatre methodologies to examine the complex interplay between hearing, listening, reading and speaking that is implicit in the ways humans communicate through language. The two key strands to my work are innovation in interdisciplinary performance practice, and the critical role performance practice and training can play in health and wellbeing. Both these strands are gathered together through an attention to the body as a key site of knowledge, and my research is realised through traditional and non-traditional research outcomes. My specific areas of expertise include: Performance processes, composition and devising.
