    Provide input to library-wide Frontline Services training needs and implement suitable development programs.

    The Frontline Services Librarian is responsible for effectively coordinating the Library Service points at a specific campus, ensuring a quality and responsive service to Library clients. The Librarys services support the Universitys strategic imperatives for teaching and learning and research and are aligned with the University Strategic Plan.

    Responsibilities:
  • PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
    Ensure that the Library Service points are staffed at all times during library opening hours and delivering responsive quality frontline services to meet the changing needs of students and staff and other library clients.
  • PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
    Contribute to the Librarys operational and action plans by participating and leading designated projects and identifying areas for improvement.
  • PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
    Supervise and coordinate a campus based team including rostering, mentoring, training and performance appraisal.
  • PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY
    Ensure the implementation of all relevant University policies, in particular those relating to equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, staff development, performance planning and review.
