BIO

I studied and danced with key artists in the vital period of the 1970s and
'80s in London (Dancework); New York (Robert Kovich and Dancers, Sara and
Jerry Pearson, and Judith Moss and dancers); Sydney (Russell Dumas's Dance
Exchange); and Melbourne (Dance Works). I am a widely published dance
commentator and am co-editor of the journal Writings on Dance. My research
interests extend from philosophy of the body, through modern and post-modern
dance to Indian and Indonesian dance cultures.
