BIO



I am an Associate Professor in Curriculum and Pedagogy with major research
interests in curriculum theory, global education reform, education policy analysis, critical policy sociology, the politics of education, teacher practice,
and teacher effectiveness. I draw upon the work of Pierre Bourdieu to engage with matters of global education policy,  and teacher practice. I have specific interests in global reform efforts in education that impact teacher practice. A specific research focus of mine is global education policy, education reform and teacher effectiveness. I have successfully published in leading education research journals within Australia and internationally and I am the author of four books in the area/s of Teacher Effectiveness (Policy and Practice), the Science of Education, and Global Education Reform.
