ProfessorBodil Rasmussen

Professor Bodil Rasmussen has a distinguished track record in higher education. She holds an Australian Government Office for Teaching and Learning Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, Vice-Chancellor's Award for Distinguished Teaching, and Deakin University Award for Teaching Excellence, plus numerous Commendations for Excellence in Teaching Awards.
Professor Bodil Rasmussen was awarded the Australian Government Office Citation based on her sustained leadership in developing innovative courses in partnership with local, national and international educational and professional organisations. These partnerships involved curricula development with the Australian Diabetes Educator Association, Schools of Nursing and Universities in Denmark, Diabetes education in India, and course development with organisations in the Humanitarian Assistance Sector, including WHO, Australasian Red Cross and Save the Children Help.
In her role as Course Director for Master of Nursing Practice and Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education, she led curricula development, course enhancement and course accreditations for more than a decade.
Bodil has supervised 13 PhD, 2 Master of Philosophy, 15 Master of Nursing Practice and 14 Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) students to completion. She has also supervised 4 Post -Doctoral fellows. 
She was a member of the Advisory Board for Master's in Health, the Master's in Nursing and the Master's in Clinical Nursing at Aarhus University, Denmark, 2023 -2026 (3-year appointment).
