TEACHING EXPERTISE
My teaching contribution is mainly through HDR supervision, undergraduate research internships and research training in modelling and simulation.
I supervise PhD candidates working on applied modelling, simulation, optimisation and decision-support problems. My supervision focuses on helping students frame clear research questions, build defensible models, work with operational data, and communicate findings to research, industry and government audiences.
I also supervise undergraduate interns and project students through applied research activities in DIIS. These projects give students experience with simulation tools, data workflows, software development and partner-facing research problems. Recent examples include work connected to digital twins, simulation platforms and human-in-the-loop simulation.
This teaching and supervision activity is closely connected to my research program and gives students practical experience in applied modelling and simulation research.
