TEACHING EXPERTISE

I have served as a lecturer in Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University, overseeing three large core units (HSE309: Cognitive and Behavioural Aspects of Sport and Exercise, HSE201: Exercise Physiology, HSE204: Motor Learning and Development) for the Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science within the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, the world’s #1 ranked department for Sport Science Schools and Departments. I am currently unit chair for HSE309 and HSE201. Prior to this role, I taught across 10 different undergraduate units over approximately 40 trimesters at Deakin University, Deakin College, and Victoria University. I prioritise creating engaging and empowering learning environments for students through the use of up-to-date practices, evidence-based learning content, and innovative digital and pedagogical practices that impact learning outcomes, all within an inclusive environment. Together, my endeavours have led to exceptional student evaluations for both my individual teaching and the units under my leadership, simultaneously improving career prospects and enhancing the overall student experience.
