BIO

Dr Wong completed her PhD at Deakin University. Early in her career, while investigating the genes that control animal fibre, she developed experience in biotechnology, molecular genetics, proteomics, and bioinformatics. While at Deakin University, Dr. Wong worked part-time as an Associate Research Fellow in the Deakin Genomics Facility, where she effectively managed and processed various types of samples for next-generation sequencing applications. This experience further enhanced her research skills and contributed to her expertise in the field. In October 2018, Dr. Wong began her postdoctoral position, where she excelled in studying epigenetic biomarkers for early-life neurodevelopment disorders and biosample collection. Her expertise spans various domains including epigenetics, genomics, bioinformatics, next-gen sequencing, proteomics, biotech, genetics, molecular biology, agriculture, cancers and biomedical science.
