RESEARCH INTERESTS
Tricia’s research explores feminist sensory sociology and the intersections of accessibility, inclusion, equity, cultural responsiveness, and ethics into a socially just practice in health, education, and career development. She pioneered the award-winning Clay Embodiment Research Method, a participatory and creative methodology engaging marginalised women in Nepal, and continues to investigate how sensory experiences shape professional identity. Her recent work, Becoming a Feminist Sensory Sociologist: A Rhizomic View, uses Deleuze and Guattari’s rhizomic framework to trace connections across her non-linear and multidisciplinary career, reflecting on experiences as a creative arts therapist, public health researcher, and lecturer in health and career education. Through visual and sensory methods, she examines how encounters with culture, ritual, and embodiment inform professional identity formation and the practice of accessible, inclusive, and equitable research.
