BIO

I am an experienced educator and researcher, interested in working on evidence-based initiatives that help vulnerable consumers develop financial capabilities and build financial resilience for difficult times. You can read more about my current research activities under the My Research tab.

Driven by curiosity, I have pursued a multidisciplinary path, earning Honours Degrees in Law and Finance, as well as a PhD in Accounting. This journey eventually led me back to my undergraduate studies in Financial Planning, and my current specialisation in financial behaviour and decision making.

A consistent theme in my prior research is the behaviour of individuals and organisations, including what motivates us and how we make decisions. My research has been published in leading academic journals and cited in parliamentary proceedings and government inquiries.

For media requests, I am available to comment on topics relating to the psychological, emotional, and social aspects of household financial decision making.
