Working closely with Deakin Learning Futures and the Faculty of Arts & Education, my role is often characterised as one occupying a ‘third space’ in academia. This means that I traverse multiple domains in support of enhancing teaching and learning - I work with educators, governance professionals, librarians, policy makers, strategists and subject experts from both within Deakin and beyond. All of this is in service of the strategic ambitions of Deakin and the Faculty. But more importantly, it is in the service of creating transformative learning experiences for all students.

Often described as liminal, this complex role requires considerable skill in navigating relationships and managing competing priorities. The work I do is thus as much change agent as it is learning and teaching specialist and I am committed to supporting our educators and students to thrive in the evolving educational landscape.
