BIO

Position

Dr Brendan Holland is a Research Fellow in the Deakin BioFactory and Centre for Sustainable Bioproducts. Dr Holland works closely with industry partners to develop solutions for valorisation of agricultural, food, and marine wastes. 

 

Collaborators

Our industry collaborators include Green Eco Technologies, Bellarine Foods, Samsara Eco, Mantzaris Fisheries, Boundary Bend Olives, and Seasol. This work is part of Professor Colin Barrow's research group within the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at Waurn Ponds. 

 

Expertise
Dr Holland's experience includes 10 years as a chemistry lecturer, tutor and laboratory demonstrator in undergraduate and masters level units at Deakin University and Trinity College, University of Melbourne.

 

Media

Dr Holland produces and presents I Spy Science, a weekly radio show on 94.7 The Pulse in Geelong which focusses on local science stories and giving scientists a low pressure platform to communicate their work and gain media experience.
